Level 3 Learning Support Assistant
28.75 hours per week, term time only
Salary: G5 Scp 9-17 (£26,409-£30,060) pro rata to hours worked
Estimated salary: £17,650-£20,090
Start date: as soon as possible
Hours: 28.75 hours per week
Monday to Friday: 8.45am – 3.15pm (with 45 minutes for lunch)
Castlefort Academy is a ‘good’ school with several ‘outstanding’ features (OFSTED 2025) where expectations for children’s academic achievement and behaviour are high.
Purpose of the job
To work under the instruction and guidance of the teacher/SENDCo to support a Y3 pupil with an EHCP.
Responsibilities
* To plan, resource and deliver ability-appropriate learning activities and experiences
* To complete observations and assessments of the pupil’s progress and development
* To liaise with school staff, parents and external agencies on a regular basis
Essential requirements
* Have at least NVQ Level 3 in teaching assistance or equivalent
* Have good, personal literacy/numeracy skills (GCSE English and mathematics or equivalent)
* Have experience of supporting and working with pupils who have SEND
Desirable
* Have skills in/experience of supporting children with cognition and learning needs
