Basket and Checkout Programme
Boots' current customer experience for the checkout is 4 years old and requires a complete redesign to improve the experience and increase conversion to sales. We have an iX design team working with the client to create the best possible customer experience. Alongside this redesign, the payments provider is changing, which will enable new payment features to be offered. The Boots team is working alongside the IBM team to create user stories and acceptance criteria. They require additional support due to a large number of epic areas needing refinement. This open seat is for 2 x Business Analysts/Product Owners to work within the Boots team, supporting story refinement and guiding the teams through development and testing of the new checkout.
The Product Owner will
1. Work within the basket and checkout team to build the backlog of user stories with acceptance criteria, prioritize them, and prepare them to be 'dev ready'.
2. Collaborate with tech and dev leads to ensure stories are structured to deliver incremental functionality and value.
3. Facilitate refinement sessions, show-and-tell meetings, and sign-offs.
4. Work with UX/UI design teams to ensure stories align with the design.
5. Help clarify questions that arise during development and testing.
6. Participate in progress reviews and demos to ensure development aligns with stories and the product vision.
7. Assist the product manager in preparing stories for sign-off to ensure timely approval.
Mandatory skills:
* Experience in writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
* Workshop facilitation skills.
* Experience with Jira.
Nice to have skills:
* Experience with commerce applications/websites, particularly checkout processes.
