Baresca Tapas is a busy, independent, family-run restaurant in Nottingham, built on genuine hospitality and great people. We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and play a key role in the running of our kitchen.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for a Sous Chef who thrives on standards, consistency, and teamwork, and who is ready to take real responsibility in a values‑led business.
The Role:
* Support the Head Chef in the successful day‑to‑day running of the kitchen
* Lead by example, maintaining pace, accuracy, and clear communication
* Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency meet Baresca standards
* Help train and develop the kitchen team
* Support ordering, stock control, GP, and waste management
* Ensure allergen, food safety, and due diligence systems are followed
About You:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior CDP
* Passionate about fresh food and high standards
* Calm, reliable, and people-focused
* Takes ownership and leads by example
