Employment Solicitor, 5+ Years PQE, Bristol, GBP 70,000+ (DOE) : This is an exciting opportunity to join a Legal 500 and Chambers:recognised team, contribute to major projects, and play a key role in shaping the continued growth and success of the practice. JOB REF:2442.
THE ROLE:
- Work closely with partners and senior colleagues on complex and high:profile matters
- Advise clients on a broad range of contentious and non:contentious employment law issues, including redundancy, disciplinary processes, grievances, whistleblowing, and discrimination
- Manage the defence of Employment Tribunal claims
- Support clients through restructuring and workforce change projects, including changes to terms and conditions and consultation processes
- Draft legal updates, author articles, and deliver training as part of a structured business development and client engagement strategy
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- 5+ years PQE with a strong background in employment law
- Confidence in managing own caseload and delivering pragmatic, solution:focused advice
- Experience with equal pay matters is desirable but not essential
- Ideally, previous mentoring or supervision of junior team members
- Excellent drafting, communication, and client:handling skills
- Strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A team player mindset with a flexible, proactive approach
- A genuine interest in business development and building long:term client relationships
