The Strategy Analyst supports the Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer (CSTO) in translating strategic priorities into structured plans, clear governance, and disciplined execution. The role helps close existing governance and coordination gaps by tracking strategic initiatives, supporting prioritisation, and ensuring actions, decisions, and dependencies are visible and followed through.
Operating at the interface of strategy and transformation delivery, the role combines analytical support with light project management and administrative coordination. It enables the CSTO to focus on strategic leadership by taking ownership of the “doing”: preparing materials, maintaining oversight of priorities, coordinating inputs across teams, and ensuring strategy-related activity progresses in line with agreed direction.
Key Accountabilities
1. Maintain a clear view of enterprise strategic priorities, initiatives, and dependencies
2. Track progress against agreed objectives, milestones, and outcomes
3. Identify slippage, risks, or conflicts in priorities and escalate appropriately
4. Support prioritisation by consolidating information on demand, capacity, and strategic alignment
5. Support the design and operation of light-touch strategy governance
6. Coordinate agendas, actions, and decision logs for strategy-related forums
7. Ensure decisions are documented, communicated, and followed up
8. Track actions and ensure ownership and timelines are clear
9. Conduct analysis to support strategic thinking (e.g. options analysis, market or internal data review)
10. Prepare concise briefings, summaries, and slide packs for senior stakeholders
11. Synthesize information from multiple sources into clear, decision-ready outputs
12. Support ad-hoc strategy work as required by the CSTO
13. Act as a coordination point where required between the CSTO, the strategy team and other functions
14. Ensure relevant strategy insights, decisions, and updates are shared appropriately
15. Gather inputs from across the organisation to support strategy development and reporting
16. Identify gaps or inefficiencies in strategy execution and governance processes
17. Propose practical improvements to tracking, reporting, and prioritisation
18. Help establish consistent ways of working across strategy-related activity
Experience and Technical skills
19. Ability to structure ambiguous problems into clear questions, options, and actions
20. String prioritisation skills, with the ability to highlight trade-offs and capacity constraint
21. Able to synthesise information from multiple sources into concise, decision-ready insights
22. Proactive in identifying risks, issues, and gaps in governance or execution, and supporting resolution
23. Degree-level education or equivalent experience
24. Background in strategy, consulting, business analysis, PMO, or corporate functions
25. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
26. Ability to structure ambiguous information into clear outputs
27. Comfortable working with senior stakeholders
28. Strong written and verbal communication skills
29. High attention to detail and follow-through
30. Ability to manage multiple workstreams in parallel
31. Strong administrative skills
32. Experience in strategy, consulting, transformation, or PMO environments
33. Basic project management or coordination experience
34. Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
35. Exposure to governance forums or executive reporting
