Chemical Production/Operations Manager £60k + Signing Bonus + Annual Bonus
The Production Manager’s role is to ensure stability, integrity, and efficient operations of all plant personnel; be proficient in production planning and resource management while also possessing strong teamwork-oriented leadership, communication, supervision, and problem-solving abilities to guide their team of employees and drive operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
* Advanced planning, delegation, coordination, and oversight of daily shop and field manufacturing operations.
* Clearly communicate and actively listen to team members.
* Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their goals by fostering a positive and productive work environment while creating an enduring culture of team success.
* Effectively manage resources, including labour, materials, and equipment, to optimize current and future production needs.
* Utilize experience and historical data to identify opportunities for success, predictable issues, and make informed decisions.
* Collaborate as a member of the management team to achieve all the business goals.
* Follow corporate guidelines to administer performance reviews and the compensation program.
* Participate in weekly production schedule meetings, monthly safety committee meetings, and quarterly ISO Quality System Management Meetings.
* Recruit, hire, and support training for the most qualified candidates.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Chemistry, Chemicals, or Engineering Degree is a must.
* Proven leadership and development of project-based manufacturing operations.
* Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
* Teamwork oriented.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Applications.
