Responsibilities include:
1. Executing department practices, procedures, safety regulations, and adhering to all federal, state, and local guidelines.
2. Maintaining sanitary levels for food and equipment, ensuring compliance with health and sanitation requirements.
3. Properly maintaining kitchen areas and equipment, reporting issues, and assisting in problem correction.
4. Assisting cooks with peeling, prepping, and related duties.
5. Following schedules, demonstrating versatility, and covering various shifts including weekends, holidays, and emergencies.
6. Developing good rapport with inter-departmental personnel to ensure smooth operations.
7. Participating in in-service education, on-the-job training, and orientation programs.
8. Adhering to Universal Precautions and Infection Control Policies, including proper PPE use and waste disposal.
9. Using safety equipment and proper mechanics during duties, such as lifting and moving heavy objects.
10. Keeping work areas clean and safe, understanding chemical safety and OSHA standards.
11. Reporting accidents or incidents to supervisors.
12. Maintaining punctuality and proper attendance, covering various functions and shifts as needed.
13. Maintaining confidentiality of resident care information and reporting any breaches.
14. Driving Heritage vehicles for errands or transportation as directed.
15. Performing other duties as requested by management to meet resident and facility needs.
Qualifications include:
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Experience in food services preferred.
* Ability to speak understandable English.
* Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Purpose of Position: To maintain sanitation standards and understand the needs of the resident population.
Schedule: 40 hours/week, rotating days/evenings, 3-12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
