We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their well-being and comfort. Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
* Support individuals in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort
* Implement personalised care plans tailored to each resident's needs
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure quality care
* Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential
* Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately
* Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to ensure clear communication
* Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families
* Applicant must be NISCC registered, otherwise registration must be completed within first 6 months of employment.
