Technical Network has been retained to support a major international engineering group that is setting up a new division to design & build turnkey automation & robotic assembly systems for manufacturing clients throughout Europe.

This is a brand new venture, and an immediate appointment is required for an experienced Industrial Robotics Programmer to become an integral member of the team.

Location: West Midlands (commutable from Wolverhampton, Bridgnorth, Stafford, Kidderminster, Walsall, Telford, Shrewsbury areas)

Salary – up to £55,000 + paid overtime + benefits

As a Robot Programming subject matter expert, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of multiple turnkey automation projects – from initial FDS / specification, design, simulation, and commissioning of robot production cells for automated assembly lines within customers' manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities:

* Design, simulation, and programming of KUKA, Fanuc, ABB robots
* Support specification and tendering for new projects
* Supervise installation, commissioning, and FAT/buy-off at customer facilities
* Provide technical support to resolve program or interface issues related to industrial robot systems

Experience:

* You will already be an experienced Robot Engineer or Robot Programmer with expert knowledge of robot implementation to optimize a high-volume industrial manufacturing environment.
* Qualified to a minimum HNC level or equivalent in Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering or similar
* Detailed knowledge of design, programming, and fault-finding of robots – ideally Fanuc, Kuka, or ABB
* Proven experience designing and optimizing turnkey industrial automation used in automotive / high-volume manufacturing processes such as welded assemblies, product assembly, material handling, or paint application
* Good understanding of electrical circuitry and robot safety standards and their application
* Proven structured problem-solving skills and experience with process change management
* Flexibility to travel within the UK and Europe for commissioning purposes
