Job Responsibilities
As a Therapy Assistant Practitioner, you will provide clinical assessment and treatments under the supervision of qualified staff, be responsible for assisting in the triaging, prioritisation, and new patient assessments, review of equipment and care needs, delivery of rehabilitation programmes and discharge planning for your patients. You will need to become familiar with referral processes for community and other inpatient facilities. The post holder will work alongside a multi‑disciplinary team in an acute in‑patient ward at Northwick Park Hospital.

The Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy teams at London North-West University Healthcare NHS Trust are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Therapy Assistant Practitioner to deliver high quality rehabilitation to their patients. We are looking for an experienced, caring person to work within our existing therapy team providing a high standard of care as part of the inpatient Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy service on our Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and Older Persons Short Stay Unit (OPSSU). Previous experience in a similar role is essential, whilst area specific training will be provided. Excellent interpersonal skills are also essential as you will be required to liaise with clinicians, patients / carers and GPs, as appropriate.
