Samuel Frank is recruiting a qualified Functional Safety Engineer for a Warwickshire based specialist engineering company reviewing and assessing projects for their safety levels.
Key aspects of the Functional Safety Engineer role include;
Product safety background would be ideal, for example brake systems on cars or trains would be perfect. Client open to a qualified Functional Safety Engineer who has unrelated industry experience who can cross train though.

Perform safety analysis (FMEA, FTA, LOPA etc.) and risk assessments (e.g. SIL determination) for new and existing systems
Assist with the development of the companys Functional Safety Lifecycle & Functional Safety Management Plan
Experience with safety-related PLCs, sensors and actuators
Hybrid working 1 day per week in the office once youre up and running
80% of the role will be based either at home or in the office with the remaining 20% based on customer sites could be Europe, US or South Africa typical duration of a trip is 1 week, 2 weeks maximum
Standard working week is 40 hours Monday to Friday overtime hours are paid at x1.25, Weekend overtime hours are paid at x1.5 and bank Holidays paid at x2.0
TUV Rheinland or equivalent Functional Safety Engineer certification.
The office element to the Functional Safety Engineers role will be based in Warwickshire and is easily commutable from the following places Coventry, Birmingham, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Redditch, Nuneaton, Rugby, Daventry and Northampton. Given the amount of home working thats involved, the successful Functional Safety Engineer could live much further away.
