The Role:
We're thrilled to welcome two passionate and dynamic Family Practitioners to the New Forest District of Children's Services This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive and forward:thinking team dedicated to improving outcomes for children and families.
As a Family Practitioner, you'll be at the heart of early help and intervention work : building strong, trusting relationships with families, empowering them to overcome challenges, and helping them thrive. You'll work closely with children, parents, and professionals to provide practical, emotional, and tailored support that makes a lasting difference.
Based in Totton and the surrounding areas, you'll be part of a vibrant local network, delivering services that are responsive, inclusive, and rooted in the strengths of the community.
What you'll do:
As a Family Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting children and their families. Your responsibilities will include:
:Managing a caseload with tailored support and intervention
:Collaborating with social workers and other professionals to assess needs and develop comprehensive family plans
:Delivering a range of tasks and interventions within our strengths:based Hampshire Approach framework
What we're looking for:
We're seeking practitioners who bring:
:Experience working with children and their families
:Strong skills in motivating and engaging families to achieve positive outcomes
:Excellent communication and IT skills
You will be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire, and it is essential that you have a current drivers' licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis
