About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Preston, Lancashire. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a love for science among students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS3/KS4).
* Develop and implement schemes of work in line with the national curriculum.
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
* Use innovative teaching methods to support and inspire students of all abilities.
* Maintain high standards of classroom management.
* Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole-school training events.
* Support the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A degree in a relevant science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
* Experience teaching science at secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
