Shape Safer Environments Through Technical Excellence Every building has a story hidden within its structure. As an Asbestos Surveyor, you’ll be the person who uncovers the detail, applies technical expertise and ensures that clients across the UK can make informed, safe and confident decisions. If you enjoy autonomy, thrive in varied environments and take pride in accuracy and clarity, this role offers genuine scope to grow, influence and create meaningful impact. Purpose & Scope of the Role This role exists to deliver high quality, UKAS compliant asbestos surveying services across a wide-ranging portfolio of commercial and industrial properties. You will carry out management, refurbishment and demolition surveys, collecting precise inspection data and producing clear, robust reports aligned with UKAS accreditation and HSE guidance. Working largely independently on client sites, you will conduct detailed inspections, bulk sampling and risk assessments, offering technically sound insights that support compliance, risk control and asset management. You will work closely with internal quality and project teams while interacting directly with clients, facilities personnel and other stakeholders. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will operate across offices, public buildings, retail, healthcare, education, manufacturing and infrastructure environments. All work is supported by digital surveying tools, structured reporting systems and a mature quality assurance framework. Your Impact in This Position In the early stages, you will establish yourself as a dependable technical specialist, delivering consistently high quality surveys and building trusted relationships with both clients and colleagues. As your experience deepens, you will gain exposure to larger, more complex survey projects and play a part in service improvements and broader consultancy activities. This includes involvement in major commercial and industrial projects, reinspection projects and asbestos management reviews. Longer-term, this position offers multiple progression pathways, including senior surveying responsibilities, technical auditing, project management or leadership roles within the consultancy.
