Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational Primary Schools across in South Shields on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development.
About the Role:
1. The role will involve supporting pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The different types of SEN that pupils have may include ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and PMLD.
2. The role will also involve planning and delivering intervention sessions to small groups of pupils to boost their understanding and progress
3. A key part of the role will be to develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of different pupils within the classroom, working closely alongside Class Teachers and colleagues to establish this.
4. The role will also involve supporting across the School at breaktimes and lunchtimes as required.

Pay, Hours and Contract:
8. Pay – Between £93-120 per day
9. Hours –
10. Contract – Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2026. Temporary Contract.

Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
13. QTS, Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or Level 3 Childcare-based Qualification
14. Experience of working with Children in Schools in the UK
15. An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff.
16. A resilient, proactive, and positive nature
17. Hold Right to Work in the UK
18. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
19. Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
