The Pioneer Programme
This role is part of the BC Pioneer Programme; a portfolio-wide community and learning & development programme built exclusively for the future leaders of our ventures and scale-ups.
When embarking on a Pioneer role within our portfolio, you will be exposed to an environment unlike any other and will have the opportunity have a tangible impact on a business going through a continuously evolving period of growth. Alongside your role, you will undertake an 18-month Red Team L&D programme, giving you access to learning materials, training and experts to help you to set up your own career adventure.
The concept of ‘career adventuring’ is founded on developing your skills and providing you with the necessary tools, coupled with your own personal resilience and attitude to work. This approach is at the heart of the Pioneer programme vision, and both your venture and the Red Team are committed to working with you to help you excel.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Minimum 2 years' experience working in working in consulting, commercial strategy or revenue operations
2. Minimum 2.1 undergraduate degree (in any discipline)
3. Experience in sales, pricing or go-to-market would be advantageous
4. Extremely organised and able to project manage multiple tasks simultaneously
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a variety of stakeholders.
6. Give evidence of the ability to be a self-starter and be able to adapt to multiple roles in a variety of high-pace environments
7. A passion for building your network and capacity to work well with colleagues and stakeholders at C-suite and executive levels

Duties:
8. Support BC Value Acceleration, working across the portfolio to build expertise and share best practice across the portfolio across a range of Commercial topics (especially sales, partnerships/go-to-market, pricing).
9. Work closely with sales, marketing, RevOps and management teams across portfolio companies to ensure best practice is effectively embedded.
10. Establish benchmarks and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of implemented practices.
11. Collaborate with product teams across the portfolio to develop AI-enabled tools and products that support the embedding of best practices across business functions.
12. Identify, establish and build strong internal partnerships, while rolling up your sleeves and doing whatever is required to achieve the goals.
13. Drive strategic initiatives to align portfolio companies with BC's strategic vision.
14. Take part in a variety of informal learning and networking events, which brings groups of people working in the same field together across our ventures, charities and other external organisations
