We are looking to speak with experienced quality engineers.
Our ideal candidate will have experience working within the Automotive sector or Injection Moulding.
This is largely a hands-on, customer-facing role.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm. Hello Weekends!
Please note: A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
In your new job as the Quality Engineer:
* Maintain and develop the Quality Management System in line with ISO9001 requirements.
* Engage in new product introduction activities.
* Ensure compliance with customer specifications.
* Manage and resolve customer, supplier, and internal nonconformances.
* Conduct process and product audits periodically.
* Identify and act upon opportunities for improvement.
* Generate process-related documentation including work instructions, quality alerts, PFMEA's, control plans, etc.
* Support production trials.
* Develop and report on COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) within the business.
* Oversee customer and internally driven engineering changes.
* Generate and maintain relevant KPIs.
* Supervise and lead a team of 3 shift QC personnel.
* Maintain a flexible approach.
* Ability to adapt within the business.
Skills and competencies:
* Working knowledge of core quality tools including FMEA, APQP, SPC, MSA, & PPAP.
* Understanding of lean techniques and methodologies.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Understanding of problem-solving tools.
* Operation of a CMM / Faro arm.
* Sage Accounts / Sage Manufacturing (not essential).
* Supervisory experience.
* Ability/experience with Polyworks Software.
