Our Newbury Park team is seeking a Sr. Principal Module Design Engineer to develop sophisticated RF front‑end modules. The role offers the potential to progress from an individual contributor to a key leader who owns and executes critical portions of product development.

Description
The position requires a self‑driven, committed team player with a deep understanding of electromagnetics, BAW filters, and RF active/passive circuits. The qualified candidate will collaborate across all Skyworks design centers in the U.S. and Asia.
Responsibilities
Contribute to product development at early stages by reviewing customer requests and working with multidisciplinary teams (design, filter, packaging, program management) to define optimal architecture and meet schedule milestones.
In addition, you will:
* Define the design roadmap for multiple products
* Review customer specifications and execute the design plan accordingly
* Work closely and provide guidance to the EM/MCM design team to ensure excellent design integration within the module environment
* Collaborate with the program management team for schedule milestone achievement
* Analyze lab data carefully and make decisions regarding necessary trade‑offs
* Support the product engineering team and align on ATE limits for maximum yield and performance
* Provide regular updates to customers and internal teams
Required Experience and Skills
* BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 15 years of related experience (MS + 12 years or PhD + 8 years also acceptable)
* Deep understanding of Bulk Acoustic Wave (BAW) devices and design, process technology, EM/MCM design, and RF packaging
* Experience with EM tools and circuit simulators
* Solid knowledge of RF filter design and front‑end module architectures
* Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while supporting multiple products
* Track record as a team player in multi‑cultural, multi‑geographic engineering environments
Desired Experience and Skills
* Experience mentoring other engineers
* Programming skills
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD$143,000 – $286,400 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
