Employment Solicitor / Legal ExecutiveLocation:Flexible across multiple offices in Lincolnshire and the MidlandsSalary:CompetitiveOverviewA well-established regional law firm is seeking a confident and proactive Employment Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its Employment Team. This is a flexible role with the opportunity to build a thriving caseload and take ownership of business development in your local area.The RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of employment law and experience in both contentious and non-contentious matters. You will handle a broad range of work, including:
* Advising employers and employees on unfair dismissal claims, discrimination claims, TUPE transfers, business restructuring/redundancies, settlement agreements, company policies, dismissal, and contractual issues
* Full preparation for Employment Tribunal cases, including own advocacy where required
* Delivering seminars and contributing to marketing initiatives
* Regular attendance at networking and business development events to grow a client base
* Drafting articles and contributing to the firms social media to raise the profile of the Employment Team
You will also work with the firms marketing initiatives to enhance its reputation and attract new business.Key Responsibilities
* Maintain excellent service levels for all clients
* Build and manage a caseload, developing new business opportunities
* Promote the Employment Team through local marketing and networking initiatives
* Produce fee income in line with targets and objectives
* Stay informed of changes in employment law and best practice
* Manage the financial control of your caseload, including billing and cash flow
* Perform work accurately in line with the firms quality and risk procedures
* Maximise cross-referrals and contribute to the development of the firm
* Consider diversity and equality in all aspects of work
Person SpecificationEssential
* Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in Employment law (both Claimant and Respondent work)
* Excellent understanding of all aspects of Employment law
* Strong computer literacy, including case management systems
* Understanding of Money Laundering Regulations and Solicitors Account Rules
* Ability to work independently with confidence, managing own caseload
* Strong planning, organisational, written, and verbal communication skills
* Marketing and business development experience, including generating work
* Experience preparing and delivering training packages
* Skilled negotiator, confident advocate, and client-focused
Desirable
* Experience running claims involving multiple claimants and/or respondents
* Knowledge of the local area and existing business contacts
* Commercial approach to delivering employment law services
