The Digital Services team is responsible for the maintenance, administration, and second line support of the HALO ITSM system, supporting users within the Trust. The Digital Systems Manager will be a key team member.
Responsibilities include managing, maintaining, developing, and administrating the Trust’s IT Service Management system, HALO. The role involves providing technical support and advice to end users across all disciplines and departments.
The post holder will work closely with other technical teams within Digital Services, leading and providing specialist knowledge in all areas related to HALO, including implementing developments to support business processes and integrating with other Trust systems, in line with the Trust’s Digital Strategy.
The Digital Systems Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and housekeeping of the HALO system.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure the smooth running and housekeeping of the HALO corporate computer systems within the Trust, assisting colleagues with other managed systems.
2. Provide second-line support for digital system users on application and technical issues.
3. Contribute to project management for system upgrades, developments, and implementations of corporate applications.
4. Develop digital systems security policies and procedures in line with Trust policies.
5. Design test plans and coordinate testing of new systems and processes.
6. Create or coordinate documentation to support system functionalities and implementations.
7. Participate in data quality initiatives to improve clinical system data.
8. Install software upgrades across all digital systems.
9. Draft proposals and specifications during system adaptation and design processes.
