Post Title: Engineering Officer (Maintenance)
Location: The Highland Council Headquarters, Inverness
Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £38,474 - £41,714 p.a.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

Job Purpose:
1. Assist the Principal Commissioning Engineer with commissioning management duties to ensure safe and effective building services installations in non-domestic buildings on The Highland Council's capital programme.
2. Monitor and control commissioning activities, report on progress across the capital programme at the project level.
3. Ensure commissioning activities are correctly evidenced and records maintained according to contractual requirements.
4. Lead organisation of commissioning workshops, client familiarisation visits, and training.
5. Assist in developing standards for commissioning building services on Highland Council projects.

Requirements
HNC in an appropriate engineering discipline and working towards membership of a relevant professional body such as Eng.Tech or I.Eng.
Ability to travel efficiently within Highland to meet operational needs. Access to personal transport and a valid driving license are required due to the geographic scope of projects.
