We are now looking for a talented Forecast and Modelling Analyst to help us build the sophisticated forecasts, surveys, and datasets that power strategy for the world’s top media and tech companies. About the role As a Forecast and Modelling Analyst, you will play a key role in building data models and forecasts that underpin MIDiA’s research, analysis, and consulting work. You will also dive into the data pipelines behind our pivotal surveys — transforming raw inputs into refined, client-ready output. Our reputation is built on delivering market-leading data - robust, high quality, and rigorously developed. You will help maintain and enhance this standard, working on complex models and surveys across music, video, games, podcasts, and more. You will collaborate closely with our analysts and consultants, to ensure that our datasets are insightful, accurate, and aligned with industry trends. This role is ideal for someone with a strong quantitative background, excellent data modelling skills, and a passion for the entertainment and media industries. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Build, maintain, and improve industry models and forecasts across entertainment sectors Assist with survey formatting processes and their automation Conduct desk research and data collection from third party sources Contribute to thinking and analysis Contribute ideas to improve modelling processes, accuracy, and automation Support consulting work by building bespoke models and forecasts Assist with other Data Team tasks and responsibilities The ideal skills and experience for this role are: One to two years’ experience in modelling, forecasting, or data analysis A bachelors or masters degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Economics) A strong academic background with AAA or above at A-level (or equivalent), including Mathematics Proven experience building and maintaining sophisticated data models Excellent Excel skills (including advanced formulas, lookups, etc.) Data manipulation experience, particularly in the context of survey data Ability to identify patterns in data, and deliver meaningful insights from a variety of sources Solid understanding of forecasting methodologies and statistical techniques Strong attention to detail with ability to think at both micro and macro levels Clear, logical communicator able to explain complex concepts clearly Data visualisation and presentation skills will be beneficial (e.g., experience using Powerpoint) We are looking for an applicant who is: Independent and proactive at solving problems Detail-oriented and rigorous Collaborative, friendly, and professional Comfortable working under time pressure Curious and eager to learn An excellent communicator Passionate about digital entertainment KEY DETAILS AND LOCATION Salary: £35,000-£40,000 PA (dependent on experience) Location: Hybrid - mostly remote with 2 days per week in our London office Working hours: 9:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday Eligibility: Applicants must have the right to live and work in the UK.
