Your new role a NewDay
Leading a eam of accoun an s o ensure delivery of ou s anding ou pu s, and ensuring hey develop successfully in heir roles, leading he mon h end close process for c.£250m per annum of Group cos s, covering servicing, change, marke ing, par ner paymen s and overheads. You'll share insigh ful analysis and repor ing of performance o suppor decision making.
You'll deliver
* eam managemen and coaching of a dynamic eam in analysis & cos repor ing.
* imely and accura e mon h end close process for he Group's c£250m pa of servicing, change, marke ing, par ner paymen s and overheads cos s.
* Ensuring accoun ing policies are applied across he cos base, including comple ing comprehensive capi alisa ion assessmen s, o ensure compliance wi h IFRS.
* Par nering closely wi h he Commercial Finance, Commercial and Opera ions eams o suppor and challenge informa ion required o ensure he Group's cos accoun ing is appropria e and provide insigh ful analysis of performance compared o prior periods and budge .
* Ownership of he balance shee reconcilia ions, ensuring high quali y suppor is in place and deliver mon hly balance shee repor ing and analysis.
* Finance are engaged on s ra egic priori ies and change projec s. Assess areas ha impac accoun ing for cos s, upda e accoun ing policies and ensure processes evolve as required o reflec delivery of s ra egic projec s, for example in egra ion of new re ail par ners in o repor ing.
* Managemen of he rela ionship wi h he ex ernal audi ors wi h regards o cos s, ensuring a smoo h audi process a each repor ing cycle where audi or inpu is required.
* Ensuring all deliverables adhere o he Financial Con rol Framework and con ribu e o he delivery of con inuous process and con rol improvemen s for assigned areas of responsibili y.
Wha you'll bring
We need knowledge, experience + exper ise in:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
* Proac ive wi h he abili y o analyse performance o deliver insigh which is presen ed clearly and concisely.
* S rong echnical knowledge of accoun ing s andards (IFRS) and experience of implemen ing accoun ing policies o ensure compliance wi h s andards.
* High a en ion o de ail, problem solving skills and a desire o unders and he wider implica ions of decisions for he business.
