Role: Teaching Assistant
Location: Primary schools across Southampton
Hours: Full-time or part-time (typically 08:30 – 15:30; hours may vary)
Pay: £13.68 per hour
About the Role
GSL is proud to partner with a range of inclusive and welcoming primary schools in Southampton. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in supporting pupils' learning, offering both in-class support and one-to-one assistance, particularly for those with SEN.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to pupils, including one-to-one and small group work
Assist children with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and thrive
Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Collaborate with teachers and school staff to enhance student progress
Potential for long-term or permanent opportunities in schools
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience supporting children, ideally with SEN or in primary education
A positive, flexible, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine desire to help children grow, develop, and achieve their best
