Job Description
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves preparing and maintaining monthly management accounts, conducting balance sheet reconciliations, driving continuous improvement, and supporting Group reporting to head office.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
* Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
* Verifying the accuracy of financial system data and making necessary corrections with the financial controller's approval
* Maintaining accurate control account information
* Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
* Completing ad hoc financial and management tasks as instructed
* Contributing to internal financial reporting
* Managing the Purchase Ledger team
* Reviewing weekly bank payments to suppliers
* Conducting cost and variation analysis
* Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
* Identifying cost reduction opportunities
* Assisting with Group reporting
* Supporting external audits
* Contributing to system, process, and procedure improvements within the business
Skills And Experience
Essential:
* Fully qualified Accountant, member of a recognized accounting body
* Audit experience
* Strong IT skills and experience
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
* Experience in the IT industry
* Advanced knowledge or professional training in SAGE accounts
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
* Understanding of IFRS
* Experience managing a team

This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in our Belfast, London, or Wisborough Green offices.
