Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Duty Manager looking for a new challenge to join our team here at the Queen of Hope Street. The Ideal candidate will be keen to learn, able to show initiative and work under pressure in a busy environment.
We are a fairly new traditional pub located on the corner of Hope Street specialising in cask ale, whiskeys and cocktails. We are becoming increasingly busier and require a duty manager to join our team.
Duties:
- full implementation of company training programmes for new starters with constant tracking and recording progress and issues
* Assisting the General Manager with the day to day running of the venue.
* End of night procedures : cashing up, securing the venue, investigate discrepancies, and produce effective handovers to other managers and supervisors.
* Constant management of trail and other back of house procedures
* Always run the venue to the highest standard with regards to sound /lightling levels, sports, venue presentation and guest experience.
-Organise and implement regular deep cleaning
* Maintain high standards and freshness of all products with particular attention given to cask and draught management
* Cellar management : maintaining cask rotation procedures / managing stock levels
* Reporting any lateness/ disciplinary issues to the general manager following the correct procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry is required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with cellar management and Line cleans is desirable
* Experience with cocktails /cask ales and maintenance of them desirable however full training will be provided
