Position Details
* Location: Plymouth
* Salary: £38,800 - £43,600 (inclusive of shift allowance) based on experience
* Performance Bonus: Company performance-related bonus
* Shifts: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts (6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm)
* Type: Permanent

Your Role as a Mechanical Shift Technician
As a Mechanical Shift Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our equipment. Your responsibilities will include:
* Troubleshooting, repairing, and overhauling equipment with precision.
* Conducting preventative maintenance on various manufacturing and packaging equipment.
* Documenting work orders and preventative maintenance using our computerized maintenance management system.
* Supporting operations in equipment setup and adjustments.
* Training operators in Autonomous Maintenance activities.
* Participating in Breakdown Analysis and MSE teams.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience: Previous manufacturing experience is essential.
* Education: Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or higher, or relevant certifications (CMfgE, CMRT, HVAC).
* Practical Experience: Apprenticeships, internships, or co-op programs in mechanical trades.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, machining, and mechanical systems.
* Hands-On Approach: A self-driven attitude with effective workload prioritization.
* Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in teams, sharing insights and collaborating on improvements.
