Job Description Management Accountant – Permanent – based in Kettering, NN15 (Hybrid) Job Purpose: To support the Finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, management accounts, budgeting, and analysis. This role is suited to a part-qualified accountant who is currently studying AAT or CIMA and is looking to further develop their accounting knowledge, commercial awareness, and technical finance skills within a fast-paced and growing organisation. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts. Prepare accruals, prepayments, and journal entries. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies. Support the management and monitoring of project data to ensure accurate financial reporting. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Support year-end processes and the preparation of audit information. Assist with and support the implementation of new ERP software (COINS). Provide financial data, analysis, and support to non-financial stakeholders. Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and key external customers. Ensure compliance with Group Policies across all financial transactions. Provide holiday and sickness cover for other Finance team roles as required. Person Specification: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines. Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop. Experience: Part qualified accountant (AAT/CIMA). Previous experience in a finance or accounting role desirable. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Experience of working with accounting or ERP systems would be advantageous. Exposure to management accounts preparation and reconciliations preferred.
