Offer description

International Projects | Revit | Design-Led Studio | Greater Ownership

You may already be working on international projects.

But are you close enough to the decisions?

Close enough to the client conversations, consultant coordination, technical direction and project momentum?

Or are you one layer removed - contributing to major work, but without the ownership to match your capability?

Grõ Careers is partnering with a fast-growing, design-led London architecture studio looking for a technically strong Architect to take a key role across international projects from Schematic Design onwards.

This is a progressive opportunity for someone who wants to step out of a larger corporate structure and into a medium-sized studio where responsibility comes earlier, contribution is more visible, and capable people are trusted to move projects forward.

The Opportunity

You will be leading the technical development of multi-million-pound overseas projects, helping translate strong design intent into coordinated, buildable architectural information.

This is not a purely production-led role.

The studio needs someone who can think technically, work confidently in Revit, understand project rhythm and deliverables, and take ownership of the technical direction around complex design-led work.

You will be close to the client, close to the directors, and close to the decisions.

Why This Is Different

This is a studio on an upward trajectory.

Regularly profiled by leading architectural publications.

Still young in feel, but increasingly serious in project scale.

The team includes architects who have come from some of the most globally recognised design practices in the industry, bringing a high level of ambition, technical awareness and design quality into a more agile, energetic studio environment.

You will not be joining a slow-moving hierarchy.

You will be joining a team where people are visible, trusted and expected to contribute properly.

For someone currently in a larger studio, this could offer the exposure that is often difficult to access: more ownership, broader responsibility, and a clearer connection between your input and the direction of the project.

The Work

The studio’s portfolio spans international and UK projects across multiple sectors, including mixed-use, residential, hospitality, retail, cultural, commercial and large-scale masterplanning.

They work across all RIBA stages, from early concept and planning through to delivery and construction-stage coordination.

The immediate focus is international SD-stage work, but the broader studio offers genuine variety: front-end design, technical development, UK delivery, bespoke projects, consultant coordination and project leadership.

This is a strong fit for an architect who wants to stay close to design, but who also enjoys the discipline of making architecture work technically.

The Ideal Candidate

You may currently be in a larger, renowned international practice, working on significant projects, but looking for a move with more direct ownership.

You might be an Architect with a few years’ experience who is already operating above your level.

You might be a technically strong Project Architect who wants a more design-led, energetic and less corporate environment.

You might have worked on international projects at Schematic Design, Design Development or Technical Design stage, and now want to take a more central role.

The common thread is technical confidence, Revit ability and the appetite to take responsibility.

You’ll Need

* strong Revit project experience;
* experience on complex architectural projects;
* confidence from Schematic Design onwards;
* ability to coordinate consultants and project information;
* strong technical judgement;
* understanding of how design intent becomes deliverable architecture;
* international project experience highly desirable;
* façade, interiors, mixed-use, hospitality, residential, cultural or retail experience useful;
* calm, proactive and low-ego communication.

Why Join?

Because this is not just a project move.

It is a responsibility move.

You will be joining a medium-sized studio at a point of real growth, with the chance to become integral quickly.

You will work with talented architects from leading global practices, but in a younger, more energetic environment where the structure is lighter and the exposure is greater.

You will have the opportunity to work on major international schemes, contribute across UK projects, and build experience across all stages rather than being fixed into one narrow part of the process.

For the right person, this is a chance to move closer to the work, closer to the decisions and closer to the future direction of a rising studio.
