Senior Accessibility Consultant - £63,000 - Permanent - Alderley Edge (Hybrid)

La Fosse are seeking an experienced Accessibility Tester with strong web accessibility expertise and exposure to mobile accessibility. As a Senior Accessibility Consultant, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation on accessibility standards. You will also deliver training and provide guidance to colleagues, offering recommendations and assistance with implementing accessibility best practices to design and development teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accessibility, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non‑technical colleagues at various levels.
Key requirements
* Excellent communication skills with proven experience in accessibility consulting or working within an Accessibility Centre of Excellence.
* Ability to develop and deliver accessibility training to various teams.
* Experience in creating and maintaining documentation on accessibility standards and best practices.
* Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to identify common accessibility issues, advising individuals and teams on solutions and best practices.
* Proven track record of conducting accessibility audits and creating and analysing accessibility reports, providing actionable recommendations.
* Strong understanding of user‑centred design principles and how they apply to accessibility.
* Significant experience of WCAG, Front End technologies, assistive technologies and accessibility testing tools.
* Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to accessibility (for UK and Ireland).
