Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (School & Home-Based) – Daventry Area Location: Daventry and surrounding areas Hours: Flexible (during school hours) Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and adaptable 1:1 Tutor to support pupils either within a school setting or in their home environment during school hours. This role involves working closely with students who may require additional academic support, helping them to engage with learning and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Deliver tailored 1:1 sessions to meet individual learning needs Support pupils with core subjects such as English, Maths, and/or Science Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement Provide feedback on pupil progress and maintain accurate session records Work in line with safeguarding and compliance requirements Requirements Previous experience working with children or young people (e.g., tutoring, teaching, mentoring) Strong understanding of the UK curriculum Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A patient, flexible, and proactive approach Desirable Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing a PGCE Experience working with SEN or pupils with additional needs Ability to travel within the Daventry area What We Offer Flexible working to suit your availability Competitive pay rates Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant Opportunities for professional development If you are passionate about making a difference in a young person’s education and can provide engaging, personalised support, we would love to hear from you.
