We are seeking a nurturing, creative, and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sutton, starting as soon as possible. As an EYFS Teacher, you will plan and deliver high-quality provision aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. You will create a balance of structured learning and play-based activities that support children’s social, emotional, physical, and academic development. Building strong relationships with pupils and families will be a key part of the role. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess engaging EYFS lessons and activities Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment Support children’s development across all EYFS areas of learning Use observation and assessment to track progress and inform planning Differentiate activities to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL Promote positive behaviour, routines, and independence Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and Early Years colleagues Build strong relationships with parents and carers through regular communication Maintain accurate learning journals, records, and assessments Contribute to EYFS planning, moderation, and whole-school initiatives Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching in EYFS Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS framework Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic about early learning Have excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management skills Be creative, reflective, and adaptable Show a strong commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and pupil wellbeing The school is located in Sutton, with excellent transport links and a supportive local community.
