The College:
Founded in 1843, Marlborough College is the largest co-educational boarding school in the country, set in the picturesque market town of Marlborough and surrounded by the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. The College has 1,000 pupils aged 13-18, the majority of whom are full boarders. The College's mission is to deliver the best independent, co-educational, full boarding education in the UK and to be recognized for this globally. Our vision is to be a leading, outward looking and inclusive school where children with potential are given the opportunity to make a difference to society.
The College was founded to provide an exceptional education for children from all walks of life and remains deeply committed to increasing accessibility for young people whose families cannot afford the fees but who would thrive here. In the long-term, the College wants 30% of pupils to receive financial support and it is currently in the planning stages of an exciting and ambitious fundraising campaign to move forwards towards this goal.
There is a strong sense of community at the College built upon its exceptional pastoral care and diverse co-curricular programme. The College has had excellent recent exam results and has plans to become even more academically ambitious. Our recently opened Beko Innovation Centre will be a hub for our STEM collaborations with industrial and educational partners.

Marlborough College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the College is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children."
