Childcare Assistant - The Prince of Wales School
The Governors and Senior Leadership Team invite applications to join our friendly, hardworking and inspiring Pre‑School team. We are looking for a dedicated and highly committed Childcare Assistant to work initially on a fixed‑term, part‑time basis, supporting the 1:1 needs of an identified pupil during the Spring and Summer Term 2026 – three mornings per week for 9 hours per week.
Qualifications
* Be flexible, enthusiastic and adaptable.
* Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Have experience and knowledge of working with pupils with challenging behaviour.
* Have some experience of first aid.
* Have a Level 3 (minimum) qualification.

Additional Information
The pro‑rated salary is based on the number of hours and weeks worked and includes appropriate paid annual leave and bank holiday entitlements. The salary quoted is the annual salary for the position at the time of advert. It will be paid in equal monthly instalments and adjusted at the start of employment and, if leaving part‑way through the school year, to ensure the correct salary is received for the work completed in an academic year. This role is UK‑based, and Right to Work must be established as part of the appointment process.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. The school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates as part of a safeguarding check to determine suitability to work with children. All social media and internet searches will be conducted by a neutral party and only relevant findings will be shared.
