A weing and supportive primary school in BS15 is seeking an experienced teacher to lead their Year 5/6 class through the summer terms.This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact as pupils prepare for the transition into secondary school. The RoleIn this full‑responsibility position, you will:
1. Teach and lead a mixed Year 5/6 class
2. Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
3. Support pupils’ academic progress and wellbeing
4. Prepare Year 6 pupils for end‑of‑year expectations
5. Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
6. Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team and wider staff
7. Contribute to the wider schoolmunity
What We’re Looking For
8. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
9. Strong experience within upper KS2 (Year 5/6 preferred)
10. Confident classroom and behaviour management
11. Ability to hit the ground running with planning and assessment
12. A creative, resilient, and organised practitioner
13. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
