Cover Supervisor (Part Time) - Secondary Alternative Provision School - Harrow - January Start
We are working with a fantastic secondary alternative provision school in Harrow that is seeking a part-time Cover Supervisor to join their team from January.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and forward-thinking alternative provision setting, supporting students with a range of needs, including challenging behaviours. The role would suit someone confident in managing a classroom environment and delivering pre-set work, with previous tutoring experience being highly desirable.
Cover Supervisor Responsibilities:
1. Supervising classes during teacher absence
2. Delivering pre-planned lessons and supporting student engagement
3. Managing behaviour positively and effectively
4. Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis when required
5. Working closely with teaching and pastoral staff
Cover Supervisor Attributes:
6. Experience working with secondary-aged students
7. Proven experience managing challenging behaviours
8. Tutoring experience (academic or intervention-based)
9. Calm, resilient, and confident approach
10. Strong communication and classroom management skills
