Who is New England Seafood International?
New England Seafood International (NESI) was established in 1991 and is an importer and processor of premium fresh and frozen sustainable fish and seafood. NESI employs circa 650 people across two sites in the UK and imports a wide range of wild and farmed fish and shellfish from around the world. It is part of the Sealaska Corporation, an Alaska Native corporation founded in 1971, owned by 22,000 Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian shareholders, who are descendants of the first settlers of the Americas.

Job Purpose:
To ensure the food safety, quality, and legality of products produced during the shift, as part of the company's due diligence and HACCP controls.
Responsible for:
The auditing of raw materials, ingredients, finished products, and manufacturing processes within the assigned production area.
Key Accountabilities:
* Assist in implementing new products or changes to existing lines, including documentation and liaising with production, and controlling product labelling.
* Ensure compliance with current BRC/MSC standards, retailer COPs, and Local Authority requirements at the factory level.
* Support the maintenance of the Quality Management System to ensure ongoing factory compliance.
* Monitor hygiene standards through audits, assisting the site Quality Manager in maintaining high standards.
* Perform tasks such as pre-operational hygiene audits, scale verification, temperature checks, intake and dispatch control, paperwork auditing, document control, organoleptic tasting, microbiological sampling, water testing, CCP verification, GMP audits, and updating KPI reports.
The shift pattern is 4 days on, 4 days off, from 10 am to 10 pm.
