We are urgently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SLD Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEND school in Wickford. This is a brilliant opportunity to work in a well:resourced setting with a warm, welcoming team and a genuinely positive working environment.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting pupils with complex learning needs, helping them to access education in a meaningful and engaging way.
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SLD Assist with personal care and daily routines where required Support communication using Makaton, PECS, and visual aids Deliver sensory:based and adapted learning activities Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment

Experience in SEN, SLD, care, or support work (desirable, not essential) A patient, calm, and resilient approach A genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to support personal care A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
