Parts Advisor in a dynamic, customer facing busy auto parts store. Providing expert advice to customers on parts selection, ordering parts for customers, keeping up with stock levels, cash handling, collaborating with other members of the team and carrying out various administration tasks.
Responsibilities
* Customer Interaction: Providing expert advice to customers on parts selection, including identifying the correct parts, suggesting alternatives, and explaining technical details.
* Order Management: Taking orders for parts, both in person and over the phone, and ensuring timely delivery or pickup.
* Stock Control: Maintaining accurate records of parts inventory, including stock levels, ordering parts from suppliers.
* Sales and Payments: Processing sales transactions for parts and accessories, handling cash and card payments, and managing returns or warranty claims.
* Technical Advice: Providing technical advice to customers and other staff members on parts and their applications.
* Liaison: Collaborating with other departments, such as the warehouse, to ensure efficient workflow.
* Administrative Tasks: Maintaining records of parts sales, stock levels, and other relevant information.
* Customer Satisfaction: Ensuring customer satisfaction by providing excellent service, resolving issues, and building positive relationships.
Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years motor factor counter sales experience.
* Motor parts software system experience e.g MAM Software.
