Head of Quality, Regulatory & Compliance (UKI Region)
Location: Flexible within the UK, with regular UK-wide travel
Salary: £75,000 – £85,000 per annum
Car Allowance: £1,000 per month
Bonus: 10% annual bonus
Team: Leading a team of 4 (based around the UK), with plans to expand by 2 additional roles.
Lead compliance excellence across quality, safety, environment, and regulation in a national med-tech environment.
We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on compliance leader to join a nationwide healthcare solutions provider as Head of Quality, Regulatory & Compliance (QRC). In this pivotal role, you’ll head up a growing UKI-based team and take ownership of driving best practice in Quality, Regulatory, Health & Safety, and Environmental compliance. This position offers significant scope to shape the function and support a culture of continuous improvement and proactive risk management across the business.
About the Role
You’ll lead the delivery and evolution of integrated management systems in line with key regulatory standards (ISO 9001, 13485, 14001, 45001), and act as the UK Responsible Person for regulatory purposes. Working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, including Sales, Service and Rental, you’ll help embed a high-performing, risk-aware culture while enabling business opportunities and ensuring adherence to local and EU regulations.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading and mentoring a multi-disciplinary QRC team, with plans to expand
Acting as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, including MHRA
Ensuring regulatory and ISO compliance across Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety domains
Overseeing internal and external audits, complaint handling, risk assessments and corrective actions
Driving process improvement, engagement, and cross-functional collaboration
Representing QRC on the UKI senior leadership team and influencing business strategy
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you’ll need a strong, collaborative leadership style, excellent regulatory knowledge, and the confidence to operate at both strategic and operational levels. Ideally, you’ll bring:
Proven senior experience across all QRC disciplines: Quality, Regulatory, H&S and Environmental
Solid understanding of ISO management systems and UK medical device regulations
Lead auditor certification and experience running internal audit programmes
NEBOSH or IOSH certification (desirable)
Track record of building and leading high-performing teams
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with a range of stakeholders, including regulators, suppliers and senior leaders
A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel frequently across the UK
