This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to get involved in a number of high profile projects around system implementations, acquisitions and process improvements.
As a Management you will:
1. Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
2. Analyse financial performance against budget and forecast; provide variance analysis with insightful commentary.
3. Collaborate with department heads to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
4. Produce key performance indicator (KPI) reports and dashboards for operational and financial metrics.
5. Support the Finance Director in financial planning and strategic analysis.
6. Reconcile key balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
7. Maintain and improve financial systems and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
8. Assist in preparing year-end accounts and liaising with auditors during the audit process.
9. Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
10. Drive process improvements across the finance function, particularly in cost allocation and job profitability reporting.
As Management Accountant you will be:
11. Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
12. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar management accounting role.
13. Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software (, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
14. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
15. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
16. Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
17. Experience in the transport, logistics, or vehicle recovery industry (preferred but not essential).
