The successful applicant will work as part of a well-established dynamic multi-disciplinary Lung Cancer team who provide specialist advice, holistic care and support to patients, relatives and members of the health care teams. They will be required to lead, develop and evaluate the Lung Cancer service to improve and maintain standards of patient care and promote a seamless service within a multi-disciplinary framework.
Applications for this post are invited from nurses who have had extensive experience in lung cancer. We are looking for a dynamic, forward thinking individual who is flexible, self‑motivated and reliable, as well as a good team player and leader. The successful candidate should have a degree and be willing to develop their academic and clinic practice. They should have excellent communication skills verbally and written. They will play an active part in clinical practice, education, research/audit and the implementation of national guidelines and transformative services.
This is a Band 8a permanent post and is currently part‑time – 22.5 hours per week. This is a Macmillan badged post with access to support and educational funding.
