An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated chemotherapy booking co-ordinator to provide administrative support within the Unplanned Care Group.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve working closely with the Haematology & Oncology Daycase, management, administrators, secretarial, nursing and medical colleagues. Providing comprehensive administration support. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring Daycase appointments are booked accordingly, validating and maintaining the data quality of the Inpatient & Outpatient waiting lists. This will include the monitoring of patients identified in the Planned & Post RTT category, ensuring these patients are legitimately in the correct category and have the correct ‘see by’ dates.
You will use your RTT and cancer pathway knowledge and experience to support the admin processes of validation. This will include receiving and saving validation files from System Development.

Experience
* Experience to prioritise and manage a diverse workload
* Experience of working in a waiting list management environment
Skills
* interpret clinic letters to determine RTT Codes
* Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing at a high level
* To have excellent Excel, Word & PowerPoint skills, ability to create pivot tables & graphs.
* Be able to analyse and confirm the breach status of a patient
* Use of electronic systems, diaries, patient records, training
Knowledge
* Good knowledge and understanding of all Access Targets in particular the rules of RTT.
* Knowledge of Patient Administration System
* Good Medical Terminology
* Microsoft Office packages, including Excel and Power-point, internet, e-mail, Chemo care, Bookwise & EPR
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE standard (or equivalent)
* *Level 3 in Business & Administration or equivalent knowledge and previous experience in either business administration of the NHS
* Key Skills level 2 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent knowledge and experience
* ECDL/CLAIT
