What we offer

You will be part of a team that defines the substation LAN networks and ensures cybersecurity compliance for the HVDC substation automation systems. Working on several large global projects, you will need knowledge of various cybersecurity standards.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design of secure networks and communication architectures of the HVDC Control System from concept to commissioning based on IEC 62443-3-3.
* Act as the point of contact for all matters related to cybersecurity and networking in a project environment, evaluating third‑party suppliers’ solutions.
* Support tendering teams during the bidding process for cybersecurity and networking requirements, with knowledge of EU NIS, NERC, and BDES regulations.
* Ensure the Secure Deployment Guides for the HVDC Control System and third‑party system interfaces are adhered to.
* Define IP address strategies for the complete control system.
* Perform hardening in a substation environment.
* Ensure documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects is in line with engineering policies and procedures.
* Assist site activities related to installation and commissioning of the control system LAN network.
* Oversee testing and FAT witnessing of the Control System.
* Lead the design, configuration, and testing required to deliver on time and within defined budgets.
Role Requirements
* Analyse and evaluate different cybersecurity and networking solutions.
* Justify solution analyses in front of customers and technical audiences.
* Build functional infrastructure from the ground up (networking, virtualization, server OS configuration).
* Experience with IEC 62443 standards (parts 4‑1, 4‑2, 3‑3, 2‑4).
* Virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper‑V, Proxmox.
* Industrial protocols: IEC 61850, IEC 101/104, PTP, OPC UA, DNP3, Modbus TCP/IP; diagnosis/debug using Wireshark.
* Configuration of server OS (Windows Server).
* Configuration of next‑generation firewalls (Fortinet).
* Use of intrusion detection systems such as Nozomi, Dragos.
* Anti‑malware, patch management, disaster recovery tools.
* Network monitoring and management.
* Standard cyber topics: VPNs, secure network access, endpoint security, network infrastructure protection.
Desired Knowledge
* Monitoring vulnerability publications process.
* Providing documentation with appropriate confidentiality levels.
* Familiarity with patch management process to correct published vulnerabilities.
* Mapping requirements between cybersecurity standards.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Communications Engineering or related field.
* Advanced background in distributed control systems / substation automation.
* Excellent background in designing and configuring substation LANs, especially in IEC61850 environment.
* Knowledge of network security / hardening and cybersecurity best practices.
* Expertise in common protocols: OSPF, VRRP, LACP, SNMP, SSH, SFTP.
* Knowledge of industrial protocols and Wireshark diagnosis.
* Standard cyber topics: VPN, secure network access, endpoint security, network infrastructure protection.
* Experience with GE Reason, Westermo, Meinberg products is advantageous.
