HR Advisor Competitive Salary Oldham (Chadderton) – Office Based We are currently partnering with a well-established, award-winning engineering and infrastructure business with a growing international project portfolio. Due to continued expansion, our client is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their team based in Oldham. Reporting to the HR Manager, this is a broad generalist role with responsibility for delivering proactive HR advisory support while also contributing to recruitment and wider HR operations. Key responsibilities will include: • Acting as a key point of contact for managers, providing best practice advice on disciplinary, capability, absence management and general employee relations matters • Drafting, reviewing and updating HR policies in line with current employment legislation • Advising managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and employment law • Supporting day-to-day operational and administrative HR activities • Assisting with the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process • Maintaining absence records and producing reports to support payroll processing • Accurately maintaining employee data using the HR system (ADP) • Supporting HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required Our client is looking for: • Previous experience in a generalist HR role with strong advisory exposure • CIPD qualification (or working towards), although equivalent experience will be considered • Experience using HR systems and managing employee data • Sound knowledge of UK employment legislation • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Excellent organisational skills and the confidence to work independently • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail • A professional approach to confidentiality and handling sensitive information The role is primarily based in Chadderton, Oldham, with occasional travel to a Manchester site. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are therefore required. The remuneration package will reflect skills and experience.
