As our Subject Leader for Geography & Humanities, you will shape the vision and direction of our team, leading passionate educators to deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences. Your leadership will not only raise academic standards but also foster a culture of curiosity, respect, and ambition.
What You'll Do
1. Lead the strategic development of Geography and Humanities ensuring a rich, challenging, and inclusive curriculum.
2. Mentor and support colleagues, sharing best practice and driving innovative teaching approaches.
3. Use data and assessment insight to raise attainment and close learning gaps.
4. Champion cross-curricular projects that connect Geography, History, and other Humanities subjects to real-world issues.
5. Organise enrichment opportunities such as fieldwork, guest speakers, and cultural visits to bring learning to life.
6. Contribute to whole-school leadership initiatives and play an active role in shaping our wider curriculum vision.
What You'll Bring
7. A proven track record of excellent teaching in Geography, with strong subject knowledge and a passion for Humanities.
8. Experience in curriculum design and assessment strategies that inspire and challenge learners.
