Core Responsibilities Site Security: Managing the opening and closing of the school premises, including the setting of alarms and ensuring the site is secure against unauthorised access. General Maintenance: Carrying out first-line repairs and maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, painting, and glazing) to ensure the building remains in excellent condition. Health & Safety Compliance: Conducting regular safety checks, including fire alarm testing, water temperature monitoring (Legionella prevention), and playground equipment inspections. Grounds Upkeep: Ensuring the external areas are tidy and safe, including litter picking, basic gardening, and gritting/snow clearance during winter months to keep the site operational. Contractor Liaison: Supervising external tradespeople and cleaning staff, ensuring that work is carried out to a high standard and within school safety protocols. Porterage & Event Support: Assisting with the movement of furniture and equipment for assemblies, exams, and evening community events or parents' evenings. Why This School?
