We are looking for someone who is hard working, enjoys reading, pays attention to detail, manages their own workload, and is interested in healthcare and records management to join us in our two GP surgeries.
25 hours per week, Monday to Friday with 5 hours per day.
Main Duties
* Processing patient information and entering it onto our patient clinical medical records system (SystmOne).
* Assisting in recalling patients to the Practice for Long Term Condition follow‑up clinic appointments by contacting patients by phone and by text, offering them appointments and eligible vaccinations.
* Scanning relevant patient correspondence and letters and attaching related correspondence into the patients’ medical records.
* Filling information electronically into patients’ computer records.
* Checking and dealing with emails into the Practice.
* Providing basic IT support to other members of the Practice team, such as dealing with password resets, printers or computers not working.
Job Responsibilities
* Scan and attach patient related correspondence into the patients’ medical records.
* Contact patients by phone and by text offering patients long‑term condition appointments and vaccinations that the patient is eligible to have.
* Provide basic IT support to other members of the practice when required (full training will be given).
* Check and deal with practice emails.
* Enter information onto the clinical system following practice protocol.
Person Specification
Essential
* Excellent communication skills (oral over the phone and written).
* Multi‑tasking and able to work under pressure.
* Good IT skills, especially the ability to scan and then attach copies of documents to electronic records.
* Willingness to learn a new IT computer system.
* Able to work on your own and manage your own workload.
* Meticulous and well‑organised.
* An eye for detail.
Desirable
* Previous experience of working in a GP Surgery.
* Knowledge of the medical database SystmOne.

About Us
We are a two‑site GP surgery looking after 18,300 patients and operating out of two purpose‑built modern medical centres in Leeds: 9 Osmondthorpe and 15 Crossgates. We have a team of 40 including doctors, nurses, receptionists and admin staff. There is on‑site free parking at both sites, staff rest areas for lunch and breaks, a staff uniform, and free tea, coffee and chilled water for all members of staff.
