Imports Coordinator

As Imports Coordinator, you will take responsibility for managing all aspects of UK and EU imports and you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth arrival and clearance of products through UK and EU ports. From data entry and document handling to working with suppliers and coldstores, this is a hands-on role that keeps the supply chain running efficiently.
Your key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
* Updating purchase and sales orders on the in-house system
* Checking and processing import documents to meet port arrival deadlines
* Handling port and duty clearance entries to ensure timely delivery and avoid demurrage costs
* Communicating goods-in instructions to coldstores ahead of deliveries
* Verifying receipts into coldstore and arranging bond clearances
* Liaising daily with forwarding agents, suppliers, and coldstores
* Completing weekly stock reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies
* General administrative and filing duties
Key skills and experience:
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines

* Experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting
* Clear, professional communication skills
* A flexible approach to prioritising workload
* Good computer literacy
* Experience in supply chain or logistics (desirable, not essential)
Our client is looking for someone with a proactive attitude and excellent organisational skills. Ideally, you'll have previous experience in an import/export or logistics environment, but if you can demonstrate other key attributes and the ability to work under pressure, this would be advantageous.
