About the Role As a Communication Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling students to access the curriculum and college life. You’ll provide high-quality communication support through BSL, note-taking, lip-speaking, and adapting learning materials. You’ll also work closely with tutors and the Additional Learning Support (ALS) team to ensure students thrive both academically and socially. Key Responsibilities Provide in-class and out-of-class communication support for D/deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Adapt learning materials and environments to ensure accessibility. Support students in developing independence and communication skills. Maintain and manage specialist equipment. Collaborate with tutors and ALS staff to remove learning barriers. Support students during exams, reviews, and safeguarding meetings. Contribute to enrolment and induction activities.
